Summary
[edit]DescriptionLombard grave goods from Romans d'Isonzo, Italy - jewellery.jpg |
English: Lombard woman's jewellery from the grave field of Romans d'Isonzo
The grave field comprises 245 body burials excavated to date. The necropolis was used by both the Romanic people and the Lombards. The Romanic burials date broadly from the 5th to the 7th centuries. The Romanic grave inventories consist primarily of individual objects such as knives or combs that were not intended as grave goods but as garment components. The richly endowed Lombard graves date from the late 6th century to the middle of the 7th century. Grave 97
Richly endowed woman's grave with typical Lombard four-fibula garb consisting of one S-shaped fibula and one pair of bowed fibulae.
Jahrhunderts. Grab 97 1. Silberne Bügelfibeln, feuervergoldet.
