English: Lombard gold foil cross from the Campo San Giovanni in Leno

The "Campo San Giovanni" site is located just a few hundred meters southeast of the monastery of San Salvatore and San Benedetto founded in the mid-8th century. The ruins visible to this day mark the spot of the church San Giovanni Battista consecrated ca. 800. In the environs of the church, 90 burials dating to the first half of the 7th century have been excavated to date.

Grave 10 (a man's grave of the 7th century):
Gold leaf cross. Both arms of the cross show the impression of the same mold. The motif consists of curved tendrils with blossoms and leaves.

Nur wenige 100 Meter südöstlich des Mitte des 8. Jahrhunderts gegründeten Klosters von San Salvatore und San Benedetto befindet sich das Gelände „Campo San Giovanni“. Die noch heute sichtbaren Ruinen kennzeichnen den Standort der um 800 geweihten Kirche San Giovanni Battista. Im Umfeld der Kirche konnten bisher 90 Bestattungen aufgedeckt werden, die alle in der ersten Hälfte des 7. Jahrhunderts datieren.

Grab 10 (Männergrab des 7. Jahrhunderts):
Goldblattkreuz. Beide Kreuzbalken zeigen die Prägung des gleichen Models. Das Motiv besteht aus geschwungenen Ranken mit Blüten und Blättern.
