Description

Damesveterschoenen uit 1989, uitgekozen door Cécile Narinx (hoofdredactrice van de Nederlandse uitgave van Harper's Bazaar).

In 1985 richtten Marijke Bruggink (1961) en Marlie Witteveen (1959) het Nederlandse schoenenmerk Lola Pagola op. Het begrip ‘Dutch design’ bestond toen nog niet. Desondanks wisten ze hun met extravagante collecties veel publiciteit en meerdere prijzen in de wacht te slepen. Met recht worden Bruggink en Witteveen gezien als pioniers op het gebied van schoenenmode. Helaas besloot het duo in 1998 om met het label te stoppen. Omdat het programma 'De Wereld Draait Door' 10 jaar bestaat, mocht een aantal gastconservatoren in enkele Nederlandse musea 'diep weggestopte' kunst uitzoeken en tentoonstellen.
