English: The 3rd Brigade, Georgia Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) is an American nonprofit organization of male descendants of Confederate soldiers located in NE Georgia engaging in the commemoration of our ancestors, the funding and dedication of monuments to them, and the promotion of understanding of our shared history. The SCV was founded on July 1, 1896, in Richmond, Virginia by R. E. Lee Camp, No. 1 of the Confederate Veterans.[1][4] Its headquarters is situated at the Elm Springs in Columbia, Tennessee.[2]: 29 |
