Description
English: Photo taken at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway's largest exhibition of uniforms and smaller items related to the Second World War and the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945:
  • Memorial plaque with the inscription "RNAF 1940–1945 Little Norway Canada" and decorated with Norwegian and Canadian flags. The plaque is carved from local maple wood.
  • Little Norway, officially the Air Force Training Camp (FTL), was a Norwegian training camp in Canada for the education of pilots, technical personnel, navigators, and telegraphers for the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNAF) during World War II. The camp was located at Island Air Port in Toronto and operational from November 1940 to August 1945.

  • Little Norway, egentlig Flyvåpnenes Treningsleir (FTL), var en norsk treningsleir i Canada for utdanning av flygere, teknisk personell, navigatører og telegrafister til Hærens og Marinens flyvåpen under andre verdenskrig. 10. november 1944 ble de to våpnene forent til en egen forsvarsgrein, Luftforsvaret eller Royal Norwegian Airforce (RNAF). Leiren ble opprettet av den norske eksilregjeringen i London. Den lå ved flyplassen Island Air Port i Toronto og var i drift fra november 1940 til august 1945.
