Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Trichromes - color photographs by Sergueï Prokoudine-Gorsky

Trichromes - color photographs by Sergueï Prokoudine-Gorsky, this is one of oldest color processes that dates from 1870s though Prokoudine-Gorsky perfected it with a special camera of his own design. Trichromes are made with three separate black and white images, each photographed through red, yellow and blue filter, then they are merged and projected (you could also glue black and white scans together in photoshop). To make a trichrome one needs to produce three separate negatives (with a tripod I assume) while Gorsky had a special camera that took three glass plate images at one.
