Description The Lockheed L-245 prototype in flight, which first flew on 16 December 1953. After the T-33 proved unsuitable for carrier landings, Lockheed converted a T-33B for carrier operations as a private venture. The U.S. Navy later ordered 150 T2V-1 Seastar trainers, after 1962 these were designated T-1A.
