| Description |
English: Lochan a Sgeil Not much of a loch as the moor just falls into the water. There is little chance of any fish getting either in or out of the burn at the south west corner so the any fish may be unable to spawn and I have never seen any fish on this loch. The very tiny loch to the west, about 430 434, which also has a burn running out of it is interesting as it seems to fill with water and then empty again. I don't know if this is a slow process or if the water escapes in a big rush as something fails. Last time I was there this little loch was but a tiny puddle in the middle of the bed but I have also seen it full and don't want to be downstream of it if the transition is rapid. |
