I always think of the song "Long and winding road" when driving this road - a joy in the spring in autumn, a hassle in summer (tourists, single track) and a nightmare in the winter. you can see the road in the middle ground, far right

Loch Tarfff lies on the plateau on the south side of Loch Ness, above the village of Fort Aaugustus
