Summary
[edit]DescriptionLocal medics in Kaga Bandoro (11237105324).jpg |
This clinic in Kaga Bandoro towards the north of Central African Republic was abandoned as the fighting intensified. Red Cross medics - backed by UK aid - come by the centre once a week to provide essential healthcare for the families who have had fled the fighting, from looking after pregnant mums to treating cases of malaria. In the long run, they hope to be able to support government healthcare workers to re-open and run the centre. The UK is also providing clean water, food and logistical support to hundreds of thousands of people across CAR in response to the severe escalation in the humanitarian crisis.
