English: Statue of Joseph Henry (1897) by Herbert Adams (1858–1945). Henry, who discovered electromagnetic induction independently of Michael Faraday, holds an electromagnet that he devised. The statue is one of sixteen statues along the balustrade of the Main Reading Room, Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C..
