English: Lobster pots at Staithes. The harbour is small, making it difficult to imagine a time in the last century when it sheltered a large fishing fleet. Though reduced in size, fishing still goes on, for the reef-strewn offshore watersprove ideal habitats for crabs,lobsters and cod. |
