| Description |
English: Former NER P3 0-6-0 (LNER J27) at Llangollen Railway Depot, 'Thomas the Tank Engine', 1992. No. 2392 was built in 9/23, the last of its class to be built and in 9/67 the last to be withdrawn (as BR No. 65894). From 10/71 it was kept for very many years at Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, being acquired by the North Eastern Railway Preservation Group in 1976, who restored it to full working order. It worked for long periods on the NYMR, but also on several other Heritage Railways, including the Llangollen Railway as seen here; it was at the NRM at York 1984-1996, restored again, then back at work on the NYMR and elsewhere, until being retired finally at Darlington North Road Museum since 2006. |
