| Description |
English: Llangloffan Baptist chapel The chapel, a striking presence in this tiny hamlet, dates from 1706 in its earliest guise, with later additions and improvement as dated - even the wrought iron gate is marked 1930. There is no burials here however.
The building caught the attention of the artist John Piper whose original print is in the Tate see http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/ViewWork?cgroupid=999999974&workid=12048&searchid=13688&tabview=image There is also a hymn melody named Llangloffan - a version of a traditional Welsh song tune. |
