Description
English: Italy Italy, Port of Livorno. The Porto Mediceo is a fortified quadrangular perimeter and is the oldest part of Port of Livorno. It was ordered by Cosimo I who gave the task to his son Francesco I in 1572 and Bartolomeo Ammannati was called for the project. Two piers were built, the first called Molo Ferdinando (now Andana degli Anelli) and the second towards the lighthouse (Fanale del Pisani) built under Cosimo II was named Molo Cosimo.
