[edit]DescriptionLittoral Combat Ship USS Fort Worth (LCS-3) 141212-N-DC018-031.jpg |
English: Lt. Cmdr. Doug Kay, Helicopter Maritime Squadron (HSM) 35 Detachment 1 officer in charge (right), and Lt. Robert Bower, HSM 35 Detachment 1 maintenance officer (left), pose for a picture with a student from John F. Kennedy High School’s robotics class during a ship tour while in port Guam for a brief fuel stop. The HSM 35 aviation detachment aboard littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) is from the Navy’s first composite expeditionary helicopter squadron and includes one MH-60R Seahawk helicopter and one MQ-8B Fire Scout unmanned aerial vehicle. Currently on a 16-month rotational deployment in support of the Asia-Pacific Rebalance, Fort Worth is a fast and agile warship tailor-made to patrol the region’s littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing 7th Fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
