Deutsch: Pfarrkirche hl. Michael in Litschau, Niederösterreich - Glasfenster an der Nordseite des Kirchenschiffes: Belehnung Herzog Wilhelms I. und Albrechts IV. von Österr. durch König Wenzel 1398 in Litschau (Glasmalerei Ostermann und Hartwein (München), 1911/12)
English: Litschau ( Lower Austria ). Parish church: Stained glass window ( 1912 ) - King w:Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia, King of the Romans lends the lands of Duke Albrecht III to the dukes William I and Albrecht IV in 1398. The kneeling Habsburg Duke displays on his shield and surcoat the coat of arms known as Altösterreich ("Old Austria") and Lärchenwappen / Lärchen Wappen ("shield of w:larks"): Azure, five eagles displayed or, sometimes with field sable. Adopted and fixed at 5 by w:Rudolf IV, Duke of Austria (d.1365) (House of Habsburg). The standing Habsburg Duke, as a vassal, holds the royal banner of King Wenceslaus IV (Lion of Bohemia) |
