Summary

[edit]
Description As they grow, crustaceans cannot grow in a linear fashion like most animals. Their hard shell doesn't grow. Therefore, every so often, they need to get rid of that external shell. This process is called "molting". I caught this Soft Coral Porcelain Crab / Lissoporcellana nakasonei as it was finishing to shed its old shell.
