Description

Красивейшая ризница церкви Св. Викентия украшена разнообразными видами мрамора и богатой живописью. Роспись потолка отдаёт должное военной помощи Темплиеров в течение Реконкисты. Агнец Божий держит флаг с крестом Темплиеров.

Когда в 1312г. Орден Темплиеров был распущен Папой Клементием за ересь, и рыцарей преследовали во всей Европе, португальский король Диниш приютил их, переформировал их в Орден Христа (до сих пор вручаемый за военные заслуги) и договорился со следующим Папой о признании нового ордена и праве наследования имущества. Все это в благодарность за их помощь в Реконкисте и восстановлении Португалии после войн.
