Description

Здесь в 12-м веке Св. Антоний принял монашескую клятву. Францисканский монах считается покровителем Лиссабона и Падуи и покровителем влюблённых. Фестиваль Св. Антония проводится в Лиссабоне 13 июня.

По преданию монах отправился проповедовать в Италию, но слушали его проповеди только сардины. Таким образом и сардины стали символом Лиссабона, символом любви и -- в жареном виде -- главным блюдом во время фестиваля Св. Антония.
