"Beschreibung Das Hüftbild zeigt Prinzessin Ulrike Sophie Charlotte von Hessen-Homburg (1609-1771), geborene Gräfin zu Solms-Braunfels, die mit Prinz Kasimir Wilhelm von Hessen-Homburg verheiratet war. Ihr Kopf ist leicht nach rechts gedreht. Sie hat eine hohe Stirn sowie weiß gepudertete Haare mit seitlich bis zur Schulter herabhängenden Locken. Sie trägt ein gelbes Seidenkleid mit Schmucksteinen und Spitzenbesatz am Dekolleté, darüber einen roten Samtmantel mit Hermelinbesatz. Er ist auf Höhe ihrer rechten Schulter mit einer Brosche gerafft und bedeckt die Arme der Porträtierten vollkommen.

Das Gemälde bildet sehr wahrscheinlich das Gegenstück zum Bildnis des Gatten (Inv.Nr. 10.5.1.1.1188). Auf einem handschriftlichen Etikett auf der Rückseite des Keilrahmens sind der Künstler Franz Lippold und das Entstehungsjahr 1724 vermerkt. Ein weiteres, gedrucktes Etikett gibt Auskunft über die Provenienz: "Aus der Verlassenschaft des Landgrafen Ferdinand von Hessen-Homburg". Von dort kam das Gemälde zunächst in das Schlossmuseum nach Darmstadt und ist heute als Dauerleihgabe der Hessischen Hausstiftung im Besitz der Staatlichen Schlösser und Gärten Hessen." [1]
