Summary

[edit]
Description
English: I took this photo of a male lion tailed macaque from Nelliyampathy. Also called Wanderloo, lion tailed macaques are endemic to western ghats. They are arboreal by nature but the recent uncontrolled human interference and illegal cutting down of trees have affected their food source and living style very badly. On the way to Nelliyampathy I found this arboreal creature sitting on a mile stone in the roadside with an anxiety driven facial expression
