Chaeroneia is located in the same area as the ancient Boeotian town of Chaeronea. Several buildings are preserved and the ancient city theater. But the main attraction of the area is the famous Leron of Chaeronea, which was founded after the battle of Chaeroneia in 338 BC. From Chaeronea was also the ancient author Plutarch.
