Description

c/n A-193, conversion No.TP-050 Built as a single-seat A-7A for the US Navy with the Bureau No.154354. Known to have served with VA-303 ‘Golden Hawks’ and VA-305 ‘Lobos’. Stored with the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center (MASDC) at Davis Monthan, Arizona, from June 1978 until September 1983 when it was sold to Portugal and went to Vought for conversion to a two-seat TA-7P. Given the conversion number TP-050 and was delivered to the Portuguese Air Force with the serial 5550, which changed to 15550 in January 1994. Retired in 1997, it has been on display here since at least May 2010. Museo do Ar, Sintra, Portugal.
