English: Line of cairns from Cairn Gorm summit The cairns and posts were heavily rimed up during a very cold spell of weather. Visibility was excellent above a cloud layer kept down by a temperature inversion. Taken on a maintenance trip to the Heriot-Watt University summit weather station, on which I worked from 1978 to 1988. |
