Deutsch: Siedlung Lindenhof. Infotafel auf dem Fußweg zwischen Suttner- und Eythstraße, mit angedeutetem Wappen der Genossenschaftssiedlung, ein stilisierter Hirsch, der an das Wappentier des Berliner Bezirks Schöneberg erinnert, in einem spitz-zulaufenden Bogen, der den ehemaligen zentralen Torbogen des 1919 nach Plänen von Bruno Taut erbaute durch Krieg zerstörten Ledigenheims aufgreift. Das Tor wirkte wie ein Eingangstor zum Lindenhof im Nordosten der Siedlung.
English: Housing cooperative Lindenhof. Information and announcement board beside the walkway between Suttner- and Eythstraße. The decorative cut-out shapes suggest the insignia of the cooperative, a stylized buck reminiscent of the emblem of the Berlin borough of Schöneberg, against a pointed ellipse that echoes the no longer existent central arched gateway of the Ledigenheim (apartments for unmarried workers) designed by Bruno Taut and erected in 1919. The gateway also acted as an entry gate to Lindenhof in the North-East of the housing cooperative. The original Ledigenheim was destroyed by war. |
