Description

Limosa lapponica (Linnaeus, 1758), Bar-tailed Godwit and Calidris canutus (Linnaeus, 1758), Red Knot, Merimbula, NSW, 10 November 2010

Red Knot with white leg flag on right leg "ATK" was banded on 25/11/2006, age approximately 2, at Miranda, Firth of Thames, New Zealand and was sighted again on 23/05/2007 at Wader Spit, Roebuck Bay, Broome, WA and back in Miranda on 21/11/2009 - thanks to Birds Australia for the information.
