English: Lime kiln near Leigh Farm Beside footpath WG2/8 at the edge of a clump of trees on an irregular hummock at the west end of Leigh Furzes. The kiln is recorded at http://webapp1.somerset.gov.uk/her/details.asp?prn=43352 but there is no description. It is built into the hillock rather in the manner of an icehouse. On the right is a brick arch at the entrance to the interior. |
