Description
Français : Lambersart aux abords de la Deûle – L'Institut Orthopédique du Sacré Cœur, dit aussi Institut orthopédique et médicale de Canteleu.
La façade, côté jardin de l'institut, visible ici, est orientée côté Nord-Ouest 1/4 nord ; la façade opposée donne sur le territoire de Lille à 80 mètres au-delà de la Haute-Deûle.

François Guermonprez, professeur aux Facultés Catholiques, chercheur en traumatologie, demande à l’abbé Crud, de venir s'installer sur Lille. Aussi, la donation d'un terrain entre l'avenue du Colisée et l'avenue de Soubise, à Lambersart par Madame Groulois, va leur permettre de construire un institut orthopédique. En 1914 l'établissement est réquisitionné par les allemands ; les religieuses sont expulsées ; les lieux sont utilisés comme hôpital militaire.
