Description

For a period of less than a year, RAF Marham is the home of two different fast-jet types, both of which are seen here. Leading is Lockheed-Martin Lightning II 'ZM147' c/n BK-13 which is operated by the current 617sqn with the first deliveries taking place in July 2018. Breaking away behind is Panavia Tornado GR.4 'ZA607 / EB-X' c/n 138, l/n BS044 which is currently operated by 31sqn, although she still wears the markings of her former user, 41(R)sqn at RAF Coningsby. The Tornado will leave RAF service at the end of March 2019. 2018 Battle of Britain Airshow (incorporating RAF100 celebrations). Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK.
