Lighthouse 1885 CP00986

Description

The Main Lighthouse and Keeper’s House was located at the southwest corner of Water Street (West 9th Street) and Main Street. Built originally in 1829, the tower was rebuilt and the keeper’s house remodeled 1872. Both structures were demolished, the tower in 1892 and the Keeper’s house in 1937.
