Full steam ahead! What a night Friday was, warm, muggy and with a bit of cloud cover and no moon it was all shaping up to be a good night. Indeed it was, and come Saturday morning at the crack of dawn (4:30am) the trap was positively busy for my garden. With 14! New for year species and two of those completely new for the garden. Both Archips crataegana and Cedestis subfasciella were the new species for the garden, the latter not really expected considering how little Coniferous Woodland is in the vicinity. Anthophila fabriciana was also added to the year list in the daytime, whilst gardening on the Saturday.
As always, only enough time to list the new for year species. Garden species count for 2019 now upto 209.
