Description
English: Life-line carrier in the Navy Museum of Lisbon (Museu de Marinha de Lisboa), in Portugal. Reference : SN-1. This is a XIXth century vehicle used by the Lifeboats Institute. It carried life-lines used to recover persons out of grounded ships.
Français : Engin transporteur de cordages et de lignes de sauvetage. Musée de la Marine de Lisbonne (Portugal). Référence : SN-1. C'est un engin du XIXe siècle utilisé par l'Institut des navires de secours. Il transportait des lignes de sauvetage utilisées pour porter secours aux passagers des navires échoués.
