Summary
[edit]DescriptionLichfield Trent Valley 3 railway station 2111001 38b8160d.jpg |
English: Up WCML express calling at Lichfield Trent Valley (Low Level) Station. View NW, towards Stafford, Crewe etc. on the West Coast Main Line. Rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 7P 4-6-0 No. 46156 'The South Wales Borderer' is heading a Manchester (London Road) to Euston express which stopped here. This was another major station where the Fast lines passed between the platform lines. The line from Birmingham New Street via Walsall to Burton-on-Trent passed overhead (behind the camera) at the High Level Station. (The Station Inspector is prominent on this occasion). |
