Bibliotekarze akademiccy: wspierają w dotarciu do wiedzy naukowej: gromadzą, organizują, porządkują zbiory informacji, opisują je, otwierają je i doradzają jak znaleźć relewantną odpowiedź na potrzeby; szukają i znajdują nowe rozwiązania, ciągle się uczą i ułatwiają uczyć się swoim użytkownikom.
