Original Caption: SIRENS OPEN LIBERTY LOAN DRIVE IN NEW YORK. The giant sirens which the New York Police Department has placed on the roofs of many of the skyscrapers to warn the people in case of enemy danger are to open the Fourth Liberty Loan campaign in New York. Promptly at 7:55 PM Sept. 27, 1918 the sirens will start and keep up the din for fifteen minutes. Then all church bells will be rung, steamboat whistles blown and the drive will be on.
