English: Liaoxisaurus, a crocodile like member of the order Choristodera. It lived in China in the Early-Cretaceous. Its well preserved fossils were discovered in the province of Liaoning.
Nederlands: Liaoxisaurus was een lid van de orde der Choristodera uit het Vroeg-Krijt. De fossielen van dit krokodilachtige dier waren zeer goed bewaard gebleven. Ze zijn aangetroffen in Liaoning, de Chinese provincie waar het dier naar venoemd is. De naam van het 1 tot 1,5 meter lange dier betekent letterlijk vertaald Liaoning-hagedis, hoewel hij niet aan hagedissen verwant was. |
