[edit]DescriptionLf german fire-engine.jpg |
English: This kind of fire engine is commonly used all over Germany as a large number of this type has been bought in the 1980ies for purposes of the federal desaster defense service. The image depicts one of these standard fire engines which at that time had been in use at Hamburg Gross Flottbek Voluntary Fire Department. The exact equipment configuration can be looked up at this page from the German Wikipedia. The vehicle's equipment is defined by the standard of so-called "LF 16-TS" which includes a large amount of hoses, nozzles, and two fire-pumps, three kinds of ladders (on top of the truck), two SCBA sets - and a lot more. Picture taken in the summer of 2004 during a training session.
