Description

On a really cold morning on 31st January 2011, I travelled to Brereton to see off two vehicles owned by P Emery (owner of Vals Classic Coaches).

First vehicle of the morning was this converted Leyland Leopard tow truck, WHE 349J, which was being transported on Scania G129 RDS from Staffordshire to its new home in Sussex.

WHE 349J was new to Yorkshire Traction in 1970, and remained with them until 1982.

Midland Red acquired WHE 349J after going to another operator in 1985, where it was converted to a towtruck for West Midland PTE.
