Description

Place Chaptal (now place de Lattre de Tassigny)in Levallois-Perret, suburb of Paris. The monument in the center commemorates the death of two citizens of Levallois, the Captain Braun and the sergeant Martin, killed in Africa in 1899.

The monument is composed of a column on which is located a huge cock (1.18m x 1.5m). The monument has been built in 1908.
