Description
Italiano: Lettera del ministro Giuseppe Belluzzo a Giovanni Gaeta sulla Leggenda del Piave.

E' stato rilevato che nella "Leggenda del Piave", inclusa nel Canzoniere per le scuole elementari, la seconda strofa contiene alcune espressioni che suonerebbero [oggi] forse poco opportune sulle labbra dei fanciulli italiani, e precisamente quelle che parlano di "tradimento" e "dell'onta consumata a Caporetto".
Sarei d'avviso che senza alterare sensibilmente il senso della strofa, Vossignoria potrebbe introdurvi le piccole varianti necessarie a sostituire con altre le espressioni su indicate.
Ad un nobile ed eletto poeta come è la S.V. non riuscirà difficile apportare tale modifica, che nulla toglierebbe al pregio della Sua celebre composizione.
Gradirò dalla S.V. un cortese sollecito riscontro e, possibilmente, il testo addirittura della strofa modificata.
