Description
Two handwritten letters from the governor of Madras, Edward Clive, Earl of Powis. One letter (2 unnumbered pages ; 23 cm) dated 1795 written to Henry Dundas on the administration matters of the East India Company in which Powis threatens to resign. One letter (9 unnumbered pages ; 26 cm) dated 1801 to David Scott, director of the East India Company, in which he discusses administrative matters. Includes typescript (2 unnumberes pages ; 28 cm) of 1801 letter. Part of Zamboni India and Central Asia mss., no. 105 and no. 134 on index document created by Karl Zamboni (OCLC#232609963, call number DS465 .Z36 1945).
