Letter from Newman Ebersole to ARMCO Employees, 1918 November 17

Description

This letter was written from Newman Ebersole, in France, to the ARMCO employees, just after the official end of the war. Ebersole describes: celebrations which ensued when the armistice was announced; the uncertainty of how, when and from where the ARMCO Unit will return home; being in Officer Training School, but not expecting to get a commission, as the war has ended; and being cut off from mail communication from home, and from the rest of Section 646, for a month. This letter is a mimeographed reproduction. The original content of the letter was typed out and copied by ARMCO. Copies of this and other correspondence were then generally distributed to friends and family members of the ARMCO Ambulance Corps, and to ARMCO employees.
