Title
Letter from A. P. Preyer to ARMCO Employees, 1918 February 16
Description
This letter was written from A. P. Preyer, in France, to the ARMCO employees. Preyer describes in great detail the harrowing conditions he has endured as an ambulance driver on the war front. He also notes that the ARMCO barrel (care package) and candy from the ARMCO Girls finally arrived, and everyone very quickly made a dent in the goodies contained within. Preyer and three other ARMCO men spent their first permission (leave) together in southern France. He is pleased to learn that Calvin Verity has been given a Captaincy in the Ordnance Department, and that so many other ARMCO men have secured commissions at the Training Camps. This letter is a mimeographed reproduction. The original content of the letter was typed out and copied by ARMCO. Copies of this and other correspondence were then generally distributed to friends and family members of the ARMCO Ambulance Corps, and to ARMCO employees.
