Leotoon Church

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A picture of a Byzantine church. It has three naves, spolia from temples were used as usual, but it seems exclusively from the Apollo and Artemis temples. The church dates from the 6th century AD, there are mosaics that when I visited were covered. In "On the Lycian Way" it is suggested that the nearby temple was not destroyed but used as an annex to the church.
