Lester Turner (1853-?) was born in Kentucky. At 18, he moved to New York and worked in a broker's office on Wall Street. The firm he worked for failed so he moved west, first to San Francisco and then Seattle, where he worked at First National Bank. He was elected to presidency of First National where he worked until retiring in 1907. He married Miss Anna Roe in 1876 with whom he had two children.
