Summary
[edit]DescriptionLesingey Round and a field of daffodils - geograph.org.uk - 1660087.jpg |
English: Lesingey Round and a field of daffodils. The earthwork remains of an Iron Age hillfort, possibly reoccupied in the medieval period, are hidden within these trees, near Castle Horneck. Although this site is protected by English Heritage and is not accessible by public footpath, the site has been encroached upon by campers and 'ravers', who have damaged the site and its ramparts. The field below the site is planted with rows of daffodils. |
