With the naked eye, one can see the dispatching of the three main tracks located at the exit which leads to the department of Tivaouane and the region of Diourbel (Direction towards North and East) and the region of Dakar (Direction towards West).

Français : En se basant sur sa position géographique, la gare de Thiès est la première gare du Sénégal à abriter une séparation de voie ferrée qui mène vers différentes régions du Sénégal voire même la sous-région (Mali), bien sûr en quittant Dakar pour aller dans l’intérieur du pays (direction Ouest-Est). A ce niveau on a trois principales voies ferrées et plusieurs voies rattachées à ses trois principales voies. Ses dernières se mènent vers la grande entreprise des chemins de fer sis à quelque kilomètre de la grande gare et Les deux autres lignes allant vers la Région de Saint louis (ancien capital du Sénégal et colonie française de l’Afrique de l’ouest) et Diourbel.
English: Based on its geographical position, the Thiès station is the first station in Senegal to host a railway separation that leads to different regions of Senegal or even the sub-region (Mali), of course by leaving Dakar to go inside the country (direction West-East). At this level there are three main tracks and several tracks attached to its three main tracks. Español: Basándose en su posición geográfica, la estación de Thiès es la primera estación ferroviaria del Senegal en albergar una separación de vías que conduce a diferentes regiones del Senegal e incluso a la subregión (Malí), por supuesto saliendo de Dakar para ir al interior del país (dirección oeste-este). En este nivel hay tres principales vías férreas y varias vías conectadas a sus tres principales vías. Sus últimas se dirigen hacia la gran empresa ferroviaria situada a pocos kilómetros de la gran estación y Las otras dos líneas que van hacia la Región de Saint-louis (antiguo capital de Senegal y colonia francesa de África occidental) y Diourbel.
Deutsch: Aufgrund seiner geografischen Lage ist der Bahnhof Thiès der wichtigste Eisenbahnknotenpunkt in Senegal, wo die von Dakar in das Landesinnere führenden Eisenbahnlinien sich in die verschiedenen Regionen Senegals verzweigen und grenzüberschreitend sogar in das Nachbarland Mali führen.
