Description iconographique:

Prison Saint-Lazare, 107 rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, 10ème arrondissement. Les parloirs. Trois allées parallèles séparées par du grillage. L'allée centrale est vide alors qu'il y a des bancs dans les allées latérales. Commentaire historique:

En 1898 la destruction de nombreuses prisons est décidée. Saint-Lazare échappe à cette première vague, mais la question de sa destruction est relancée en 1912. La Commission Municipale du Vieux commande des photographies de ces bâtiments avant leur disparition. La partie judiciaire de Saint-Lazare ne sera finalement détruite qu'entre 1935 et 1940.
