Evocation de l'ambiance de l'intérieur du Vittoriale degli Italiani de Gabriele d'Annunzio avec les créations en verre de Napoleone Martinuzzi Pour évoquer l'atmosphère sombre, éclectique et magique de l'intérieur de la maison (appelée : Vittoriale degli Italiani) du poète Gabriele d'Annunzio sur les hauteurs du Lac de Garde, le scénographe Pier Luigi Pizzi a choisi de créer un espace particulier de l'exposition avec des oeuvres d'art en verre de l'artiste vénitien Napoleone Martinuzzi commandées à la fin des années 1920 par Gabriele d'Annunzio. Exposition "Napoleone Martinuzzi. Venini 1925-1931" Venise, "Le Stanze del Vetro" Septembre 2013 - 6 Janvier 2014 Fondation Cini (Venise) Site de l'exposition www.cini.it/events/napoleone-martinuzzi-venini-1925-1931 La fondation Cini organise depuis 2012 chaque année dans le cadre de "Le Stanze del Vetro" une exposition de haut niveau sur les grands designers italiens qui ont créé des modèles pour les verriers de Murano. Les expositions ont porté en 2012 sur Carlo Scarpa 1932-1947, en 2013 sur Napoleone Martinuzzi 1925-1931, et en 2014 sur Tomaso Buzzi. Napoleone Martinuzzi (Murano, 31 mai 1892 - Venise, le 15 mai 1977) auquel a été consacrée la 2ème exposition de la fondation Cini était un sculpteur, peintre et designer italien, qui a également dirigé sa propre société de production d'objets d'art en verre à Murano. Certaines de ses sculptures se trouvent à Venise comme la figure de Niobé pleurant ses enfants au sein de l'université Ca'Foscari pour le mémorial aux morts des guerres. De 1922 à 1931, Napoleone Martinuzzi a dirigé le Musée du verre de Murano puis a collaboré avec Paolo Venini comme directeur artistique jusqu'en 1932, date à laquelle il a fondé avec Vittorio Zecchin sa propre société sur le verre et la mosaïque d'art. Son talent était très apprécié par le poète italien Gabriele D'Annunzio, qui à partir de 1917, lui a commandé plusieurs œuvres pour son domaine du "Vittoriale degli Italiani".
